To tell you little about “our journey”… Our parents decided to leave Rome, Italy after falling in love of Dublin and seized the opportunity to chance something in their lives and do something they both love so much: food, more precisely Lazio region and south of Italy food as they learned from their parents and grandparents.
Their passion for the Italian food and wines, the opportunity to show Dubliners and tourists the real, artisan and authentic Italian food created Steps of Rome restaurant in 1995. Located in Chatham Street, Dublin 2, Steps of Rome and recently moved to Bird Avenue, Dublin 14 has made and continues to make a real imprint in the locals and visitors choices for Italian food and wine.
The original pasta and meat dishes, mouth-watering recipes are as authentic as our grandmother and great grandmother cooked them. Full of flavors using the best Italian ingredients you will leave with a unique gourmet experience that Italians are well known for. Fancy a pizza? Crafted on different shapes and using different dough base for round, folded or slices with innovative toppings and flavors we guarantee you will enjoy the experience.
Once you put your foot inside Steps of Rome restaurant you can surely feel transported to Italy… The welcoming waiters, the Italian music & decor and intimate athmosphere sets you up just rightly for an amazing dining experience! Recently joined them since the move in Windy Arbor, I am happy to join and head an already fantastic kitchen team and to add and guide through my culinary experience to make Steps of Rome the best Italian restaurant in Ireland!
I am a graduate of Istituto Statale Alberghiero in Pistoia, Toscana since 1984 and been cooking my whole life even when little in the family. With international experience of different continents throughout my early career, I settled in Ireland in 2006 when I fell in love of my wife and the Irish country. I have a flair and passion for locally produced and seasonal ingredients specialising in fresh pasta, grill or bbq cooking for rare meats, seafood and vegetables as well as bread and pastry making. Always looking to improve taste by discussing options with suppliers, staff kitchen and proprietors. Love to bring the Italian influences and combine the Irish ingredients for unforgettable plates and an unique dining experience! Lots of politicians, celebrities and very important persons sampled and loved my food and I am proud to state that I am the chosen chef for all the parties involving Italian Embassy!
